EMPoweRx 2027 takes place April 1–3, 2027 at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay in San Diego, California.
EMPoweRx is hosted by the Society of Emergency Medicine Pharmacists (SEMP), a professional society serving emergency medicine pharmacists and allied clinicians.
Yes. Virtual registration includes live-streamed sessions and three months of home-study access. Streaming instructions and access details will be shared before the conference.
Practitioner early bird registration is $249 in person or $99 virtual through November 30, 2026. Regular practitioner prices are $299 in person and $199 virtual. Residents pay $99 in person or $49 virtual. Students pay $10 for either attendance option. Compare current tickets.
The in-person conference runs for three days. About half of each day is hands-on workshops and half is didactic sessions. Lectures run 35 to 45 minutes, with a one-hour keynote and two resident/student research poster sessions. Lunch is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on all three days. The Saturday program ends at 11:00 AM. The conference venue is the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego. The group rate is $249 per night plus a $10 resort fee ($259 per night before tax) for a standard room, single or double. The group rate cutoff is March 11, 2027. Hotel reservations are separate from conference registration.
Cancellations received in writing on or before January 31, 2027 receive a 90% refund. Cancellations received February 1 through March 11, 2027 receive a 50% refund. Yes. Use the Speaker Interest form to propose a session or express interest without a finished topic. Use the Topic Suggestions form to suggest a question or issue without volunteering to present.
