Resident and Student Research Posters

EMPoweRx 2027 includes two resident and student research poster sessions. The call for abstracts is open to pharmacy trainees across the country.

• Abstract deadline: Sunday, January 31, 2027, 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
• Who can submit: pharmacy residents (PGY1 and PGY2), emergency medicine and toxicology fellows, and pharmacy students. You will confirm your training status on the form.
• What you can submit: research, practice evaluations and innovative services related to emergency medicine pharmacotherapy. Completed projects and research in progress are both welcome.
• Submission form: the online form will be posted on this page soon. To be notified when it opens, email info@empowerx-conference.com.

How abstracts are reviewed

Abstracts are scored by the SEMP Research Committee using a scoring rubric. Decisions are sent by email after the review is complete.

Poster sessions

Accepted abstracts are presented in person during one of the two poster sessions at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay. Session times, poster size and presenter details will be shared with accepted authors and posted here.

Publication

Last year, accepted EMPoweRx resident abstracts were scored by the SEMP Research Committee and prepared for publication in the Journal of Acute Care Pharmacotherapy (JACP).
